Who we are

We are a boutique financial partner for creatively led growth businesses in Australia.

Swell was founded by Nicola Kay who is a Qualified Accountant with over 25 years experience in Accounting. Nic started her career in London at Warner Music working on the financials for major labels and recording artists, and then became controller for the UK based fashion footwear retailer Kurt Geiger. She then moved to Sydney and was the Finance Director for Fifty-Five the marketing agency.

She then relocated to Los Angeles and was the Finance Director for an LA based global shoe brand before returning back to Australia after five years.

Nic worked in Sydney with Modus Operandi Brewing as their Finance Director helping to take them from a small brewery business to a major craft brewery player.

She left to launch theswellpartnership and has built a curated team of financial experts who work with businesses including Pony Rider, Zetr, Seadrift Distillery, Audiocraft, Saintly Hard Seltzer, Surfing New South Wales, andOpen.xyz and Wonderly Flowers.
